ABOUT US

PAUL NIELSEN

Has worked in the office furniture industry since April of 1985 representing manufacturers such as Allsteel, Carolina, DIRTT, Gunlocke, Haworth, Herman Miller, Hon, Keilhauer, Knoll, Krug, Rouillard, Prismatique, Simo Corp, Sit On It, Spec and Teknion just to name a few. Over the past 30 years, Paul has consulted with many clients, listening to their needs and then turning that information into successful furniture installations. He has facilitated projects whereby existing furniture is blended with new, and relocated into the space allotted. As challenges arise, Paul works with the company liaison developing suitable solutions.

Paul takes pride in communication skills, sharing information with the trades' people on-site to ensure walls are built to scale so furniture fits as designed and electrical and data is placed accurately for easy access. It is not uncommon to collaborate with the architect, designers and general contractors on a project to ensure that no surprises arise, like furniture not fitting between pillars and doors are appropriately placed. Paul has been entrusted with managing many successful corporate projects not just in Edmonton, but across Canada; working with a large Canadian financial institution – restacking six floors in their corporate head office as well branches from Nanaimo to Newfoundland.

Paul has enjoyed working with many companies of all sizes related to the oil field, Accounting, Engineering and Law Firms as well as The Strathcona County Hall, 100 million dollar LEED certified building. The RCMP – has consulted with Paul for 30 years on setting standards for their detachments across the province of Alberta as well as working closely with detachment commanders on their retrofits.

SHAUNA NIELSEN

Has several years of AutoCAD experience in office furniture layout in addition to experience running a small office furniture company providing everything from customer site visits to evaluating existing furniture, developing new office layouts, accounting, ordering/receiving and project managing installations. Shauna has worked on projects as small as 120 square feet up to > 70,000 square feet. Shauna's has an innate ability to read architectural drawings; it is something she has embraced over the years and in many cases she has saved clients tens and in some cases hundreds of thousands of dollars on unnecessary change orders.

Shauna's passion and work ethic results in her being able to turn around accurate drawings and RFP documents in an inordinately short period of time; this has fast tracked many projects, thereby saving clients time and money. One of Shauna's strongest assets is how highly regarded and respected she is by both the client and her peers
